=:= Spring Equinox ~ harmonizing the Light & darkness in all things ~

“As the Equinox energy bursts on to the scene of consciousness, remember that the only place where you can find Balance is in the present moment. You are exceedingly fortunate to be a part of the auspicious beginning activity of Light that has enveloped the world in the shifting sands of new awakening.

“Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems.” -:- Rainer Maria Rilke

As we approach the Equinox, this symbolic day of equal day and night, we are once again reminded of the delicate need for balance. As we integrate the light and shadow aspects within ourselves and others and find the dance between them, we fine tune and harmonize our polarities.
This energy of integration exists in all of nature and reflects to us the give and pull, and the larger harmony inherent  in the apparent chaos.  What ultimately free us and helps us regain our balance, is the opening to the present moment in acceptance of all it holds. ~Mystic Mama~

I dreamed this morning of a big Grizzly Bear coming for me…

it had its eyes on me & only me.

a power symbol of strength, introspection and even my own aggressions.

my own darkness confronting me

my own power confronting me

how timely to dream of my medicine friend the bear. on this day of balance between the forces of light * dark.

night & day.

=:= within me lives two beings =:=

We can deny our shadows all we want but the truth is you can’t loose your shadow!

when the Sun comes and shines its light you SEE your own shadow

you can run but you’ll never outrun it

it will always be right there with YOU.

“…Throughout the world, the spring equinox is a time of great confrontation between the forces of darkness and light, in the death and resurrection of the central deities of sacred teachings throughout the world.
“It symbolizes what an initiate goes through in a definitive and important stage of self-realization, where the struggle between darkness and light creates the opposition needed to attain immortality. This is symbolized by the dark half of the year on one side of the spring equinox sun, and the light half of the year on the other…
“The spring equinox is the time in the earth’s annual cycle around the sun in which day and night are equal in length, before the days finally start to get longer after the dominance of darkness during winter, and life springs forth from death.”
“…This pulling back and forth between light and darkness symbolizes an underpinning universal principle in creation found in the cycles of cosmic time and human life. It reveals the role of darkness and light in creating movement through its struggle and opposition. But this also shows the role of darkness and light within ourselves and our lives.”

The gift lies in embracing your whole being

only then can change and transformation really take place

the longer we deny and suppress

the longer we resist it shall persist

just acknowledge

in full presence

let us reflect and be humble

let us be thankful for this day

this life

let us give thanks for the beauty of our mother earth

the sacred elements that sustain us

“…Finally the nectar, the positive results of the struggle, emerges. Out of opposition comes the nectar of knowledge, understanding, wisdom, information, right action, good events, and what is of value in life to those who are working for greater consciousness.”

There will be an International Council of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers who will be praying for all us to come into right balance with ourselves, with each other, and with our Mother Earth.  Join us in spirit and prayer for the benefit of all living things. They will be sending healing energies to our great waters. Water is life. Each of us a droplet in the infinite Ocean of life.

Heed the message of this beautiful young rainbow warrior _/\_ all my relations….
